Referral form
This form should be completed with the full agreement of the person referring to The Compass Centre.
We provide free and confidential help to non-abusive people of all genders (age 13+) in Shetland who have been affected by sexual violence (that is: unwanted sexual behaviour), no matter what happened, or when. This includes:
- Specialist information and resources - for survivors, professionals, and friends/family/supporters.
- Sexual Violence Support Service - for survivors looking for emotional and practical support to help manage the effects of trauma, increase safety, and improve wellbeing.
- Sexual Violence Counselling Service - for survivors taking the next step in their recovery journey, providing a safe environment to work through experiences and find ways of healing.
- Sexual Crime Advocacy Service - for those who have reported or are considering reporting sexual violence, providing specialist information and support throughout the entire criminal justice process.
We are an appointments-based service and can support you face-to-face at The Compass Centre, at another agreed location, by video call, by telephone, and/or by secure messaging services. For women and girls attending in-person appointments at the centre, we offer the choice of women-only appointment times.
