The Compass Centre’s formal charity title is Shetland Rape Crisis; a charity dedicated to supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse. We are a feminist organisation. To honour our commitment to equality, we are mindful of the fact that rape, sexual violence, and exploitation, are all forms of violence that occur within a culture of gender inequality and that they disproportionately affect women and girls. We endeavour to prioritise gender equality in all that we do.

Sexual violence changes lives, and so do we. As a small charity we’re very grateful to receive your support, which helps us to continue to deliver our important work. At the Compass Centre we listen, we believe, we support and we empower survivors of sexual violence. Donations go directly towards the costs of delivering all our support and information services.

Our incredible fundraisers are vital to enabling us to provide all the free support and information services that we offer. You can support our work by fundraising in aid of The Compass Centre for example, by organising an event, bake sale, dress down day at work. Or if you enjoy running you could get sponsored for a marathon – or if running is new to you, taking that big step to do your first 5K!

If you are interested in fundraising in aid of the Compass Centre or have ideas for a fundraising event, please email contact@compasscentre.org.
